OUT AND ABOUT

Feeling cooped up?  Tired of ZOOM?  Time for a real trip—with safeguards, of course.  Join fellow members at local gardens and in newly opening museums for a couple of hours of mental and visual stimulation.  We will eat our BYO lunches together and depart for home.

Most institutions require advance notice, so we will ask you to commit and pay in advance. We can travel in separate cars. We will wear our masks and practice social distancing.

Pack your own lunch with necessary forks, napkins, cups, etc.  We will identify a gathering area in advance. (Some properties aren’t allowing picnickers, so we will find a nearby park or rest area.)

Shared rides are not organized by NVN. If participants elect to share rides, please consult the  CDC safety guidelines .

MORRIS ARBORETUM

Tuesday, July 14, 10:30 AM

Meet at Gift Shop

We will stick close to home for our first trip.  Picnicking is permitted, so bring your lunch.  (I will have a cooler in my car to keep the food cool for us.)

Go on line to https://experience.morrisarboretum.org/SelectDate.aspx?TrackingType=Customer&ActivityID=640  to reserve and pay for your advance ticket.

Please notify me at sbockius43@gmail.com by Monday, July 13, if you plan to attend. The arrival time functions within a 15-minute window, so our group will begin our walking tour by 10:45 AM.  We will return to the parking lot around noon, retrieve our lunches, and eat together.
