The next Social Justice Discussion Group meeting will be on Friday, March 20 at 1:30 pm on Zoom.
Our topic will be the alt-right influencer, Nick Fuents. We keep reading about the alt-right and the conflicts within the Republican Party. But who are those alt-right people and what are they saying? Fuentes (Nicholas Joseph Fuentes), a 27 year old American has garnered a lot of attention recently as a far-right political commentator and live streamer. He hosts America First, a livestream that has promoted white nationalism and supremacy, Christian nationalism, the incel movement, misogyny, anti-LGBTQ views and antisemitism including Holocaust denial. Fuentes first gained prominence when he attended the 2017 “Unite the Right” white supremacist rally in Charlottesville, VA. He and his followers (known as “Groypers”) court attention through their extreme statements. Fuentes clashed with Charlie Kirk, and had a sit-down recently with Tucker Carlson.
